Yes, everyone realizes this now, but in their defense, they've been lied to for decades. Institutional "higher education!" indoctrination, propaganda and over-promising on the value of muh-"college degree" have deceived the last two generations into a false sense of reality. Moreover, many tech jobs have gone to foreigners.

Thus many of these have been hung out to dry with zero skills with obsolete, useless degrees, zero job prospects, and thousands in debt. They will have to adapt and do what's necessary or recalibrate into the blue collar sector
