What she said was widely reported and then she was terminated. I'm not sure what else you want. The story is dead because the actual shooting is taking over the news cycle.

People like you are , perhaps unintentioally, missing the OP's point. It is BEYOND obvious that if after the Orlando shooting some idiot from Fox News has tweeted out or posted on their Facebook that they had no sympathy because it was just a bunch of figs anyway, the story would not have disappeared once that exec had been fired.

We all know, beyond doubt that this is fact.

This is what I was talking about in an earlier thread when I stated that liberals just can NOT discuss any given topic in an adult fashion today.

You morons do this EVERY time, on EVERY topic, you lie, you distort, you leave out facts, you deny obvious truths, and then you scream "you guys just don't want to discuss anything!!!" yeah I'm sorry if I want to discuss world topics with someone who lies, rants, screams, denies facts, and otherwise throws a tantrum every time something doesn't go their way, I'll log off this message board and go argue with my 3 year old.

Claims it as fact.

Checks out. Let me know when you want to have a discussion in an adult fashion.

Of course it's a hypothetical based on facts as we know them.

How disingenuous of you to pretend as if the media wouldn't have handled it differently if it had been a conservative who had said something stupid.

You dumb asses should be ashamed of yourselves, but I know you aren't.

Perhaps you didn't see Juice Terry's post. Nothing to see here. Evidently everyone is treated the same by the major news organizations.

And libs ALWAYS cover each other's asses.

I can promise you she'll be on 60 minutes,Ellen or whatever and she'll play the sobbing victim with
softball after softball questions from the "journalist"

Just amazing to me that libs never want to acknowledge
the double standard.

You’ve learned well from 71yo Joffrey Baratheon.

She was counsel for a news organization. She wasn’t a producer, anchor, analyst, or anything else. And Rather was fired as well, if you recall.

I’ve heard far worse in a news room.

Having worked in news... I know full well those organizations have a very. homogenous culture. They hire within. They hire people that “fit”.

It’s why I got out.

No future for anyone that didn't toe the liberal line. And that was 20 years ago when they still cared about maintaining the veil of “objectivity”.

Your post described a situation which did not occur: a fox news exec making homophobic comments after pulse shooting, then being fired and the MSM wont drop it. there are no facts as we know them.

I take it that is a firm no on the fashionably adult conversation.

What’s really funny is all the leftists pretending Geftman-Gold is a lone wolf actor in this... but Paddock totally represents “gun culture”.

she got fired but there has been zero follow up

What follow up are you looking for? She was a heartless and stupid bitch and she got fired for it.

quote:

Nobody standing outside her door trying to ask a questions. Nobody doing follow-up reports regarding who she is.

Who gives a shite what she has to say or who the frick she is? I can't think of any questions I want answered by her. She pretty much answered anything anybody needed to know about her in her tweets (or posts, or whatever they were). She's in favor of gun control and hates Republicans, so she's apparently fine with people who she thinks are Republicans being gunned down by a maniac. Do you really need to know anything more about her to draw your conclusions? What mysteries about her are you still hoping to uncover?

bullshite. The media would have reported what he said and basically called him an a-hole. The network would have immediately fired him and disavowed his hateful comments. What would be left to talk about? What "facts as we know them" support the idiotic hypothetical?

and I thank you for making my point

One of your most often used lines, to try to prop up a losing argument. Especially when your argument is so weak that not even your "baws" on here agree with you.

And even, as is the case here, the response doesn't even come close to "making your point".

First off, I'm on your side. I said much the same yesterday about Fox News, Democrats, and a Streisand concert.

That being said, this is a pretty good rant about people going off on rants.

I can see the OP's point.

It's open season on the straight white guys, mainstream Christians, basically anything that can't be labelled a fringe or minority. It's cool to hate the police, it's cool to disrespect the flag, it's cool to flip the bird to the president.
Attendants of a country music concert- label them as redneck Republicans (stereotyping here?), and stating the obvious- they are the opposition, and it's ok that they die.

Nobody even questions what type of day-to-day working environment you'd have to be exposed to, for a clearly intelligent person to not realize that what was stated is so far out of bounds that it merits immediate firing?

When I heard of it, that WAS the first thing I thought. Tell us how you really feel, as they say...

What sort of follow up do you want besides her firing, lynching?

Look up references to James Damore after his firing for stating truths about the Google workplace. There are hundreds of them.

The fact CBS engendered an environment in which a highly placed executive would feel comfortable publicly making the kind of horribly vicious, bigoted statement she did, speaks volumes about the CBS workplace. It is the kind of thing that does not occur in isolation.
