re: “You can’t lie to the American people about affordability”

It all started with
Trump Admin injecting over 2 Trillion dollars into ‘economy’ over a 6 month span and on top of it:
Paying people to sit at home and not work
Shutting down supply chain
Allowing people to forgo mortgage payments, rent payments, credit card payments, student loan payments, car payments, etc.
Handing out PPP ‘loans’ that didn’t have to be paid back that were rife with fraud and corruption.
All of this over a cold. Trump started it and Biden continued it. Blaming this solely on Biden is delusional. Trump fricked this up from the get go and we haven’t recovered. Prices are not coming down at grocery store no matter how hard the MAGA cucks try to tell us to not believe our own eyes.

Exactly, technically Trump wasn’t “for” shut downs. But he is sure as hell didn’t try to stop them. And then incentivized it by giving out free crap.

The revisionist history about Trump and Covid is almost as bad as the revisionist history with MAGA and Epstein

There’s definitely a correlation between the two. The Epstein Files 180 by MAGA has to be one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen.

One can argue that Trump is not responsible for the affordability crisis, and that the Trump Administration is enacting the best policies within its power to combat the crisis
Trump is attacking affordability on all fronts. He just removed tariffs on beef, fruit, and coffee. No other president did that.
Trump is going to give everyone stimulus checks so we can all afford nice things.
Biden never sent out checks when prices got high because of his tariffs.

You are so out of touch it’s crazy. We make $250k a year combined and home ownership is still a stretch. We have done everything right and are getting screwed - that’s the whole point of this thread
This is total BS. Only 6% percent of families in Louisiana make that much money or more per year. That would mean home ownership is out of reach for 94% of the population of the state.

If people quit buying stuff that they can’t afford in the first place, then things are a lot more affordable. Easy peasy
Back in 2017 the narrative was things only seem expensive because people splurge on avocado toast and Starbucks. Then it was because of Biden families can’t afford bread, milk, and eggs. Now we’re back to feeding kids breakfast is a lavish luxury.

That's well over double what your tour bus driving gig pays today.
Youre such a petty little dipshit.
This is really eating your goat, and I love it. Tell me what else you want to know, I need some entertainment today.
You soy boys get so butthurt that people can actually do "man' stuff. Its so fricking funny.

My granddaughter is taking 9 hours college credit right now, paid for it herself with her summer job. Shes also the captain of her debate team, taking 2 High School Classes, works, and somehow is doing better than you will ever do.
All youre admitting is you are not capable of doing the things men have done for centuries.
Youre just woefully incompetent, live off disability and dont understand how men do the things they do.

You guys need to stop arguing about what constitutes a starter home and just look at price per square foot over time. Housing prices and building costs are insane nationally and the data backs it up
Housing wasnt terribly unaffordable until Covid except for regional fluctuations.
2020 will one day be remembered as the pivot that broke us. All that Covid money and time gave investors a chance to destroy the housing market, among other things.

Inflation has slowed, as the data shows.
But I think the public expected prices to go back down to 2019 levels.
It doesn't work that way.

Please pay attention. We aren’t talking about “saving money on fixing stuff.” We’re discussing single-handedly purchasing property and building a whole arse house while attending college full-time
Indeed. While you sat around and fingered your own a-hole, I was out working as a teen making money.
I grew up poor, youre simply worthless and incapable. Good thing for disability.

n 1998 my wife and I passed on buying a house in California for 300K. That same house is now $2.5 million.....completley insane
I have a list of addresses that I looked at purchasing in multiple states prior to Covid. I look them up on the internet from time to time. In multiple places housing doubled or triple in less than 10 years.

The Buyden hangover will linger for a bit longer i suspect there will be light at the end of the tunnel in 2026 with grocery and gas prices. To the point the Trump admin has been lying about these numbers and frankly its pathetic, stop fabricating this BS to the American ppl!!

my starter home i bought in 2001 came up on the mls last summer. i would be hard pressed to buy it now. and it's a 1000 sq ft 2br/1ba shitbox. bought it in 01 for 170k. it's 750k now. crazy
I bought my first home in 2007. 3br/1ba, 1090 sq ft, .77 acre for $75000. Put 10% down and had a 7.5% interest rate. Same home today was sold 6 months ago for $210k. With current interest rates, you don’t have to be a mathematical genius to understand that that same house payment would be nearly 3x today.
But it’s not just that, it’s property tax and insurance that’s killing me today in our new home. My monthly payment including escrow is now $650 more per month beginning 1/1/26, than when we moved into this house in 2021. All due to property tax reassessments and HO insurance going up 3x and not a single claim has been made.

So what do you anti-MAGA stooges hope to find in the infamous "Epstein Files"? Do you really think there's a "gotcha piece" somewhere there to cast negative light on Trump..as if there wasn't enough already fabricated by the liberal lunatics.

The same reason you people used to support the release. Until Trump told you he would disown you.

Affordability is a real issue. The problem is neither side has an answer for it.I have watched the per pound price of ribeyes skyrocket since Covid. I know that Costco prices are better but their ribeyes taste funny. Democrats don’t want us eating real meat so they don’t care and the president is out of touch. He campaigned on bringing down prices and he hasn’t succeeded.

Its actually quite easy to get out of this mess:
1) End H1-B
2) Deport All Illegal Aliens
3) Outlaw anyone who isnt a breathing person from buying homes

You people? As a man of color I take issue with your asinine comment. I can't speak for the entire MAGA crowd but I personally like to see total transparency in all things concerning our government.
If you a-holes would stop blocking the greatest president of my lifetime we would be in great shape.

Dumping a shitpile of stimulus money has gotten us where we are. Trump and Congress decided to double down on spending instead of doing what needs to be done. We are doomed to be Zimbabwe unless we course correct and quickly.
