"I’m a Christian and a Democrat"

If that is true, I can assure you that you are better at the being a Dem than a Christian.

Or, consider the more rational alternative, which is that there are millions and millions of people who do not choose their political affiliation based on social issues that have no bearing on the federal government.

Considering that there are tons and tons of pro choice Republicans, it should be easy for you to figure out.

Neither party is homogenous in any way.

Yeah, they’re not Christians either. It’s pretty simple, if you believe Christ died for your sins, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven and sits at the right hand side of the Creator…as a Christian you can’t support the party that’s hell bent on preserving the right for people to destroy innocent life….that’s the Dim party.

One of the reason the Republican Party is loathed by the Dim loons is their concern that conservatives/Republicans are going to make abortion much more difficult to use as a means of birth control.

No vote in this country is submitted for a party. We do not employ a party list system.

Killing the innocent unborn is a no go for Christians.

I agree with this. If you have the Holy Spirit living in you, you think about things completely differently and have convictions. And most of those things are opposite of what Democrats support.

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess…

It’s crazy to think some of these worldly, popular figures/celebrities will be greatly humbled come judgement time.

Again, no one anywhere in this country casts a vote for any political party. If you vote based on party and not the candidate in that particular race, you should do everyone a favor and forego the franchise.

That level of generalization is beyond stupid. We don’t have party lists, and we don’t have party manifestos, and we don’t have true party platforms.

You’re selecting a portion of the Democratic Party and assigning their beliefs to the whole thing, which is exactly what they do when they characterize Republicans as gun toting, uneducated, racist hicks that love foreign wars.

It’s an all around stupid and unproductive mindset to have.

You still don't get it.

Democrats aren't reasonable and Christians don't vote for trashy Democrats.

God doesn't support abortion.

There are pro choice republicans in existence. According to the absolutely retarded logic in this thread, based on that fact.

It’s not really about Republicans vs Democrats. It’s whether a person who claims to be a Christian supports an ideology that protects infanticide as a tenet of their political platform.

The Christian conservatives who typically vote Republican are trying to restrict abortion and many want a complete ban on all abortions outside of danger to the mother. You won’t find the push to restrict/ban abortion in any serious manner with “Christians” who consider themselves Democrats.

being a Democrat via that silly document we signed when we were 18 versus SUPPORTING democrats via votes etc are two different things

Had the OP said “you can’t support the leftist agenda and be a Christian”, he’d be more on point

You can’t separate the American Marxist/leftist agenda from the Dim party and their ideology ….lol

I do. I’m a straight ticket Republican voter. I will never vote Democrat for any race or any reason. I don’t support everything the Republican Party does but I oppose everything the Dems stand for.

I know it’s incredibly hard for some here to believe, but large swaths of the population don’t vote based on any of the social/cultural issues at all. Especially in National elections where those issues are nothing but distractions.

It’s almost like people have different priorities, and that it’s ok for not everyone to have the exact same criteria for choosing a candidate. I’m a Republican, and I don’t give a frick about abortion at the federal level. It’s a nonsense issue at that level. It would never play any part in any congressional or potus election for me.
