The economy began this upward trajectory under Obama, but most on here never gave him credit. Now that Trump is president, he gets all the credit.

All Trump did was remove the restrictions that Obama had put on the economy. To give any credit at all to Obama for a rising economy is the purest of sophistry. The economy struggled to stay out of a deepening recession because of him. Had we had no president at all, the economy would have recovered by itself 6 years ago.

GDP growth averaged 1.8% Obama’s last 2 years. And on Jan 1, 2015, The market was at 17,100. On Nov 7th, 2016 the market was at 17,900.
That’s 2 years of stagnant economy and stock markets.
Please tell us what policies Obama implemented that made the markets go from two years of flat to suddenly skyrocketing on Nov 8th, 2016.
Please tell us what policies Obama implemented that made the economy go from 1.8% GDP growth over his last two years to 3.3% GDP growth in 2017.

Obama spent $10 trillion to get the economy where he did. His last year in office the Dow Jones increased less than two thousand points. It has increased over 6,000 points since Trump was elected. All of the experts predicted the stock market to plummet if Trump had been elected. Instead it did just the opposite. So are we supposed to believe it it had plummeted that it would be because of Trump, but since it has skyrocketed that it is because of Obama? Riiight!

Obama got credit for saving the world from the Greatest Depression in the History of Depressions. I can't recall what he actually did but it obviously worked because the world is still here.
