and oh yeah, next time someone asks me WHO WILL YOU SACRIFICE AND HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU WANT TO SEE DIE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE SELFISH AND WANT A HAIRCUT & YOUR 'RIGHS"!

I will share THIS story with them

Do you know how she contracted COVID?

This false dichotomy that if you want to lockdown to end that you're automatically okay with people dying is absurd and overplayed now. It's simply not and either or choice.

You are blaming people like buckeye_vol who just kept pushing this narrative that this was much worse than it actually was.
Are you attempting to blame me for this person’s death? You sound like an SJWers with that nonsense.

Hell. I’ve even said we should open things back up, but just know that there are risks (and it’s significantly deadlier and more contagious than the flu).

I understand the point you are making but don’t blame the Chi-Coms for these lockdowns. The lockdowns occurred because of the totalitarians within our own borders.

This is just not true. We’ve already had a thread about this and multiple poster with cancer reported that they continued to receive their treatments. It’s absurd to think that they would stop necessary cancer treatments anyways.

We did have posters here say they continued to get their treatments. That doesn't necessarily means the entire country works the same way.

I have a friend who dealt with a rare cancer 7 years ago and was treated at MD Anderson. She was scheduled for her annual follow up this May. Was told by MD Anderson she would have to reschedule for the fall.

Not sure if MD Anderson is refusing out of state patients, or just refusing patients not already on a treatment regimen.

Either way, she could have had a recurrence since her last visit a year ago that is a ticking time bomb.

Maybe someone with experience at MD Anderson could clarify why she was told she couldn't come in May.

And there it is. buckeye_vol deflecting when he’s wrong. Sorry, the individual you were replying to, not the OP. I apologize for not keeping two posters straight. Even though it doesn’t change the meaning of my post.

Hospitals and cancer treatment centers stopped many services during covid shut downs that caused irreparable damage to thousands of people with cancer.

I’m very sorry to hear of her death. I don’t grasp the entire story — did she contract covid? Regardless, I am so very sorry for this having happened.

If she couldn’t get care, that’s totally awful — I know many places were closed that I personally feel should have been open. If she chose not to go out of fear to an open medics office, then I understand that as well considering her history.

Again, I wouldn’t want my kids friends mom dead under any of these circumstances. I just don’t see how this makes anyone selfish for having wanted to get their hair cut?

There will be many more of these kinds of cases before this mess is sorted out.

Fear porn made the cure worse than the disease.
