They are right. It's harder to make an opposition party to listen to an installed leader rather than pressuring the natural replacement to play ball.

you do realize that their intelligence assessment is against regime change, right? this is the type of intel that saves us from a messy entanglement.
And the Maduro Op wouldn’t have been possible without the CIA. I know the agency has a terrible track record, but you have to recognize its value when used properly.
I'm still mad about Vietnam and WMD and everything since then.

Regime change and nation building have a low success rate. There rarely are clear cut good choices to make...

Defund the CIA.
Sounds like the CIA is giving very practical advice.

Hehehe. The brutal dictator ignored the results of a public election and refused to step down. So, we take out the brutal dictator, but of course......we don't think allowing the person who actually won that public election to take the leadership position is a good idea. So, we let the brutal dictator's right hand woman and cronies step in.
Sounds good.
Sounds good.

In this case, the would-be "installed leader" actually won a recent election.

Now? After snatching Maduro? Neither of them are sleeping in the same place twice......for a while.

Probably a drone strike as no one cares about them.
