I don't think progressives are killing their opponents, yet. They might make them wish they were dead, but I'd take my chances.

I honestly think speech would be more free under Putin. You could criticize everyone except the state. Under progs, you can criticize the state and conservatives but nothing else.

They can, however, destroy your ability to have a normal job/career to support yourself and your family if they so choose.
Next logical step for them is to start jailing people.
Hence this whole narrative of "hearsay is better than direct evidence".
