Would you be willing to lie during voir dire,
LOL = nope
I have had very few opportunities to go thru the selection process - and there was this one time that the first question asked by the defense atty was one that I knew would get me unselected from the jury, but I answered honestly.
Imagine how surprised I was when my name was the first one called to be seated in the jury box.
I went and sat down and by the time the 3rd name was called, the defense atty went up to the judge and said he'd turned in the wrong list!! - I was the first one he wanted pulled. LOL!! = almost made it.
I've only had the pleasure of actually serving on a jury once in my life.

Then jury nullification is a valid means of arresting that.
Exactly. Nullification is a tool just like any other part of the justice system. You can use a hammer to assault someone or build a house, and bringing up OJ doesn't change that.
Most lawyers find the concept offensive, and the reasons for that are obvious.

Would you be willing to lie during voir dire, in an attempt to get a place on that jury?
I don't think I could ever bring myself to do that.
But I don't doubt that there are some people who would do it, in order to get on the jury. Especially since one person can result in a hung jury, that may be their goal. They want the accused to get off. They think the law doesn't apply to 'them', so they will interfere with it to get their way (like the 'mostly peaceful protestors' interfering with ICE agents).

I imagine most people willing to lie during voir dire are lying to get out of serving on a jury.
Ive never made it to voir dire but I wouldn’t lie.

I have no issue whatsoever with jury nullification but no way I would ever want to waste time serving on a jury unless they determined I was a fit. I would answer every question honestly 100% though.

Gotta say I loved the honesty and voracity of the OJ trial jury. I know justice was served for sure. If the glove does not fit you must acquit. Legal system is flawed, DA , Judges, Cops all of them, Yet we do not have a better alternative.

I have been accused many times.
To date, no one has been able to give any evidence of it... no lines drawn nor comparisons made between my arrival, style, history or post count that link me to any previous account.
