During Vietnam married men moved lower on the draft priority. My grandmother's cousin forced her son to get married. Despite the fact that he was forced into the marriage, he had a long and reasonably happy life with his bride.

Here’s the thing. Most people who serve are doing so not out of “support” towards how things are but because they believe in the American ideal.

Even as messed up as things are, this is still the greatest country on the planet with the most potential. It’s not as great as it sounds once was, nor as great as it can be. It’s still better than anywhere else.

We the people need to take it back.

If you are talking about children (under 18) yes I would do whatever I could. If they are over 18 they are no longer considered children and I doubt I could stop them being drafted.

A better question would be would people be willing to have women drafted as well? Maybe not into combat roles but like in WW2 there were a lot of jobs that women did and that freed up a man to fight.

I'd be glad to help hide them.

I mowed an old ladies yard in the mid 70s, she told my elementary aged self to run if they drafted. She lost men overseas in WWI, WWII, Korea and Viet Nam.

So many good men died fighting bureaucratic wars. No wonder we are left with soft people and trannies today. We killed off our warriors on foreign soils decades ago.

You think the govt wasn’t corrupt when you were in? It’s usually not in our best interest.

frick no.

I'd find a way to get them out of it.

You fight for your borders, your community and the people you love, but what you don't fight for is the United States of America and it's corporate handlers, in some bullshite for profit foreign war. It's as though Milo Minderbinder himself is starting these frickin' wars.

You could always claim they have a stuttering problem to avoid service.

If it came to having to draft, it would be interesting to see how they implement it. During the last draft, there were ways to get deferment, and being in college was one of them. My uncle used his university enrollment for deferment - he said you never saw so many young men studying and not going out during that time.

The US has become such a bunch of LARPing pvssies. Muh evil deep state and such.

I’m assuming you disagree with the US's involvement in WW2, hell both theaters. If we had just stayed isolationist and not had contact with the rest of the world neither Japan nor Nazi Germany would have went to war with us. The world would be a much better / safer / more prosperous place if we stayed out and the Japanese empire and the Third Reich was allowed to overtake their respective regions. And no more pesky Jews either so a plus all around amirite?

Ukraine in large part is a grift by RINO warharks like Lindsey Graham and all leftist dimtards. Pure evil to allow people to die in order to line their pockets. The whole lot should end up like Mussolini!

I might try to sneak into Switzerland. They still trust citizens to observe things like life fire airshows..

If it was up to my fil, all 18yo (including all his grandkids) would serve a 2 yr mandatory conscription. He has no problem sending them off.

I say hell no.

I'm also a veteran...and a proud American who want all its' citizens to prosper and live comfortable lives, no matter what political party or ethnic background. Play by the rules in I will respect you.
That said, I totally lost faith in the present system. The military, the FBI, the DOJ...and especially the current administation. I would encourage my child to avoid it if it was ever reenacted under the present system.
