And yet every person on earth could fit in a portion of NYC if they were standing shoulder to shoulder / on top of each other etc.

I bet every person on earth could fit in the superdome if they just run them through a trash compactor first. See? Plenty room!

California is overpopulated....they should start there.....

Well, we may need to defer to Rep Hank Johnson. Considering the San Andreas fault runs the entire length of CA there is a chance that the seaside edge of the fault could slide off into the sea due to over population. This would be based on Rep Hank Johnson's fear of Guam tipping over due to over population.

Rep Hank Johnson concerned that Guam will tip over from over population.

I agree it's overpopulated. More people need more (limited) resources, there's only so much to go around. And population growth absolutely puts a strain on the environment. Unfortunately humans really are a cancer to the planet.

This is really tragic to witness. Best wishes, even though there is no hope.

It's not that hard, there are much better ways to go about it than bombs and ruined infrastructure if that's the case.

I am of the opinion the Trump is doing what he is told at this point.

By whom? Could it be that power simply changes the person. Or, could it be he is doing what he thinks is right?

The Russians would be decimated unless they fire nukes, which would most certainly mean their demise, as well as almost everyone else's. What is the end game there? Let's get real.

Overpopulation is a myth. In 50 years, the planet's population will be on the decline as most currently developing nations will become developed and their birth rates will inevitably match the West.
According to current projections, in 50 years, Asia and Africa will reach the 8 billion mark by themselves.

World is closer to a population crash than it is to being overpopulated. Why do you think Europe has been frantically trying to import population? And willing to look the other way at the associated issues? Eventually, prosperity will overtake Africa and the ME and those areas will see birthrates crash, just like the rest of the world.

Interesting...I was under the clearly mistaken impression that prosperity was the result of a combination of an intelligent populace, an effective educational system, well-managed resources, and wise policies enacted by competent governments free of corruption.

Silly me. Apparently it's a force of nature, that eventually will "overtake" the dysfunctional parts of the world, like a tsunami. All we have to do is wait it out. Thanks for the enlightenment.

You could give every singe person in the world 100+ square feet in Texas.

That would be very crowded but it would leave the rest of the world empty.

People choose to pack together like rats and then assume everywhere is "overcrowded".

I live in DFW and go places where hardly anyone is around all the time.

Food and housing are all reasonably priced.

What supply and demand ratios are you looking at that leads you to the conclusion that the world is overpopulated?
