I did not mis-speak

You said this:

I'm consistently against government intervention in the markets.

Regulations are gov intervention in the market. Hence why de-regulating is the removal of gov intervention in the market.

Ben Shapiro is paid opposition and is only a "conservative" to push Zionism. Actions speak louder than words and Shapiro's actions don't match his words. The former Ceo of The Daily Wire disbanded the "Secret conservative club in Hollywood" that had been around for decades after becoming the clubs President.

I don't love Ben Shapiro, but in that video linked the other day, he made the point like a poor person now lives better than a middle class guy from the '50's.
When someone tells you Americans are “poor” or doing poorly, we should question their motivations.

Democrats constantly beat that drum. Now Trump is doing it too. In reality no one is America is poor by international standards. What we consider to be “middle class” is rich as shite compared to all but a handful of nation-states.

People risk everything to come here. We don’t have an illegal imkigrant problem. because the US is poor and lacking in opportunity due to “globalization”.

So it’s worth asking why are people constantly telling us how terrible things are, and how “poor” we are?

We've been ripped off so bad that even the people that you can argue legit have ripped us off are still trying to come here

People lack perspective

Wouldn't it have been a little more rational to use a little foresight and not prop up a country with fundamental ideological differences?

Maybe a country that isn't always threatening our primary supplier of critical components?

You people are blinded by your ideology. And even when it's pointed out, you double down by pretending that creating our greatest adversary is no big deal. I guess it's true what they say. When faced with evidence that their beliefs are wrong, most people just dig in deeper.

Sure. I don't think you'll find much disagreement there. And the action against China should have been taken decades ago.

But if you look at history there are reasons we didn't choose to be enemies in trade. Very rational reasons.

Action should have been taken decades ago, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be taken.

If anything, now is a great time for action now that they are beholden to us for exports(who will fill such a great void in such short notice), and with China printing massive money to shore up their shaky economy.

If we are lucky, we could tip China into a new version of Japan, and slow their asses down a bit until we can get more manufacturing up and running in U.S.
