Plenty of them. Napoleanic, WW1, WW2. What'd we get by ignoring them. A burned down white house and half a million dead? Sometimes it's better to nip shite in the bud before we end up having to put American lives in danger. Let me know if that's too mensa for ya.

Did we actively facilitate and provoke any of those to begin?

Russia attacking Ukraine can be terrible, evil and None Of Our Business at the same time.

My thing about all of this is is why this response this go around. For goodness sake Russia took over Crimea under Obama and DC didn't act this way, what is the hidden secret difference now. That's what has me scratching my head about all of this.

Ahh the old Russia had to invade Ukraine logic? Please, don't insult me with that horseshite.

Russia wasn't forced to invade, they wanted their land, Putin hasn't exactly been coy about his dreams of restoring the old Soviet empire.

Crimea has a unique history. Of the Ukrainian oblast, Crimea was actually a gift to the Ukraine from Khrushchev back in the 50s, as such it was actually mostly Russians and not Ukrainians. I think many saw it as a natural return of territory to Russia after the breakup. (Or at least not worth fighting over).

The invasion though was in areas where there were practically no Russians or any historical claim. It was a flat out land grab under the context of denazifying or whatever bullshite reason they're running with today.

Yes it's kinda like us attacking Mexico if they were letting China or Russia put nuclear weapons there. I don't think we'd like that. Maybe everyone ought to look at why Russia really invaded Ukraine.

When has the US ever ignored a European War?

hear of something called Pearl Harbor?

explain where early intervention by the US would prevent prolonged war in Europe. also explain how we accomplish this logistically per conflict.

In my very humble opinion...

If Russia had only gone for the Donbas, I think the US government would have rolled over. Europe wouldn't have done a damned thing, let's be real.

Russia went for the capital, though, and that was just too much.
