"Well, if somebody really wants to challenge me, of course. Of course. But I — again, I've made agreements with people that these sources are going to remain confidential."

So let's get this straight, Bob.
Kelly, Mattis, and others are DIRECTLY QUOTED in your book. They vehemently deny saying things you claim they said. Will you release tapes of them making statements you directly attribute to them?

Uh — I — uh — well —sources that I — uh — specifically name in my book — uh — wanna stay confidential

Bob Woodward says he would release book interview tapes if strongly challenged

September 13, 2018, 2:57 PM

President Trump strongly criticized Bob Woodward's new book, "Fear: Trump in the White House," as "a total fraud," "work of fiction" and "totally discredited." But Woodward said he drew from hundreds of hours of interviews for his book, which is published by Simon & Schuster, a division of CBS. The book depicts a chaotic White House with details from participants and witnesses to the Trump administration.

Asked whether he would release any of the interview tapes, Woodward told "CBS This Morning" on Thursday: "Well, if somebody really wants to challenge me, of course. Of course. But I — again, I've made agreements with people that these sources are going to remain confidential."

In the book, Woodward described a "nervous breakdown" in the administration. In an interview with "CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell, FBI Director Christopher Wray told her he has "not seen a 'nervous breakdown' of executive power."

"I have also not read Mr. Woodward's book, and I'm not sure whether I'll ever find time," Wray added.

Woodward responded to Wray, saying, "His experience is limited with Trump." Wray was confirmed as FBI director in August 2017.

"I spent over a year on this. . . . " Woodward said.

Woodward "spent over a year on this. . . . " so he an expert.

Meanwhile . . .
Wray's "experience is limited with Trump."
Wray was confirmed as FBI director in August 2017.

You can't make this stuff up;
but Bob Woodward can.

would these tapes be similar to the tape he released to prove Trump lied about his conversation with Lindsay Graham only to have Graham cooroberate what Trump said?

Woodward has a long history of being inaccurate and writing thigs simply to sell books. Even his liberal contemporaries know he's a liar.

This A-hole sensed a shot to make some $$$ and seized it. Knowing of course that the whacko left and their even whackier MSM sold out supporters would take the ball and run with it and he won't be called to account. So he bases his "Story" on informed sources, people close to the president, and a few named individuals. To curtail some of this wild hysterical nonsense and people making hay on horseshite, these named people must challenge, in court and using legal means the assertions and demand any interview tapes, etc.

so two politicians are lying.
Woodward has long been one of the most respected journalist out there, by both the left and right. You’re barking up the wrong tree on this one

He has been accused of a lie before in his book veil. He said he had a conversation with William Casey while he was in the hospital and was about to die from a brain tumor . People said at the time he couldn't have because he was being gaurded 24/7 and there is a letter in the Washington post from someone who was in the hospital at that time saying it couldn't happen. I remember when this happened because i read the book during that time.

] The CIA's internal report found that Casey "had forty-three meetings or phone calls with Woodward, including a number of meetings at Casey's home with no one else present" during the period Woodward was researching his book.

Casey was in and out of consciousness during this period. I’m sure Woodward noted this in his work.

Woodward is an attention whore who wants to get rich selling a book based solely off of information that cannot be verified, in a political climate where deliberate misinformation and propaganda are the expected daily norm.

There's a word for this type of literature: fiction.
