I came up with the idea of having a "March for Coed Equality" at the University of Georgia in 1968 and my brother and I passed out over 10,000 leaflets at the coliseum during spring registration to announce to the student body a march was going to be held to protest the rules for women at UGA. I then chaired all of the meetings that were held at some of the women's dorms and organized the women who were going to lead the march. On the day of the March over 800 students took part then at the end of the March members of the local chapter of SDS convinced the marchers to enter the Administration building and have a sit in which lasted 3 days. So nobody including you is going to accuse me of not caring about the rights of women. I did more for the rights of women before you were probably even born.
That’s a lot of work to get a piece of arse or two but hey more power to ya.

How does this work for masseuses

Are Uber drivers W-2 or 1099?

Agreed.
Just like you should be able to hire based on those preferences.
But you can't.

So men should not be able to hold jobs where they drive women somewhere because women "feel" safer around women than men?
If women don't feel safe in a car driven by a man they don't know then they shouldn't use taxis either and have a friend drive them to where they are going.
I believe in women's rights but I also believe in men's rights.
I don't believe a man who has done nothing wrong should have to be financially negatively affected because a woman "feels" uncomfortable being in a car driven by him.

Show me a news article where a lesbian uber driver raped a woman, or honestly, STFU.
You realize that the vast majority of ride share "sexual assaults" are non-physical, right?
Women report things like "being stared at" as a sexual assault, and those are the vast majority of those reports.
Of the actual sexual assaults, you also realize that the majority of those are people who are only posing as the ride-share driver, right?
Because you are one dumb mother-scratcher if you decide to rape someone when there is definitive recorded proof of you picking them up and taking them someplace, ostensibly alone. At that point you've not only given the prosecution absolute certainty that you were with the person, in your own car, but also a recorded timeline of how long the encounter lasted, so that they can show the jury that there was just enough time for the drive and the rape.
Not saying that some people aren't that stupid or that it's never happened before, but once you clear away all the sensationalistic noise I would have to guess that this becomes a relatively rare statistical occurrence.

In those days a woman had to be in her dorm by 11:00 PM, had to wear a raincoat over her shorts if she wore shorts in public and had to leave the door to her room open at least the width of 3 books if she had a man in her room. That was just a few of the archaic rules women had to follow at UGA.
All of the men as well as the women at UGA appreciated what I did to organize the march which ended up forcing the administration to change the rules for women the next year.
Of course the administration gave the credit to the student government.

I couldn't say it any better than you just did.

This literally supports uber's decision. Who's the retard now?
fake driver: "hey i'm your uber driver"
w: "no you aren't, i used the woman only feature, frick off Habibi"
You literally gave creedance to the new policy while trying to pick a fight on a message board. Genius!

I got my fair share without having to do all of that.

Are you advocating for not allowing men to have any jobs where they may be alone with a woman for a short period of time?

No but i'm advocating if a consumer want's to buy a service, and they prefer that service come from a certain gender, then the government needs to frick off and let the free market work.
Imagine you went to get a massage and it's a dude... you wouldn't like that so much would you.

Sweet. So if I wanted to start a ride share service that only hired male drivers there would be no law against that?

I guess you are, since I never opposed Uber's decision or said anything about it, actually.

All I did was clarify some idiot's knee jerk, hand waving bullshite virtue signaling about rape.
I never took a position on the policy, you fricking drooling moron.

Yeah, it's definitely you.

You need to walk a mile in a woman's shoes. I support this.
Posted on 7/12/26 at 12:02 pm to Dawglovertoo
You’re creating a straw man. The women driver choice is a feature on the uber app. If women don’t care, they can ride with men drivers. If men are offended, they can drive taxi, Lyft, or any other service. Why do you hate the free market?

I support it too.
As long as it is applied universally.
I believe in freedom of association.
I'm not so big on selective application of the law, however.

Uber drivers are independent contractors legally speaking. I’m sure personal injury lawyers feel otherwise.

Why would you be upset by this? There have been enough sexual assault cases involving uber that they had to do something.
