It’s because the school year just started.
Which brings up another point, we really need more male teachers. I’d be in favor pay men more than women just to get them in the classroom.

If this stat was the opposite, media would be calling it alarming. There would be 10s of billions spent to reverse such a startling fact. It would be called discrimination.

Haven’t looked at the latest report closely but healthcare has accounted for a huge % of job gains for a while now.
Those are mostly women-dominated fields and getting more skewed each year. Women comprise close to 60% of med school students now. That’s remarkable.

The article noted healthcare, food service, and teachers as the driving factors.
The fact that food service grew so drastically is a good sign that people have more expendable income, which is a positive sign.
With all the illegals being removed, male-dominated industries like construction and associated professions like electricians will naturally have slower growth.
These female-dominated industries are less susceptible to automation and offshoring as well. Male-dominated industries like manufacturing have been stifled by countless lawsuits challenging policies aimed to bring those jobs back to the US.
Despite manufacturing being on a 7-month increase, this is an issue that will still have to be addressed, particularly as AI becomes more ubiquitous. This is why it's more important than ever to vote against the party who wants to change the demographic makeup of our country through unfettered immigration.
Another thing to consider is Trump's cuts to the federal workforce and the NGO job losses from cuts to USAID. As these jobs were dominated by women, it means women were a larger than normal percentage of those seeking new employment.

I'd even go so far as to offer the males hazard pay. Some of these modern classrooms and schools, make the streets look civil.
From the topic of school shootings, it's been brought up to bring military vets into the classrooms as teachers. I'm totally down for that too.

If you want more male teachers then you’re gong to have to do several things. Give them the right to discipline your kid, quit sending these little shitty kids to school, don’t make them work for female principals, let them the an actual male role model and not a figure head to check off a box “ok we have one male teacher, that should satisfy the government”.

Illegals being replaced by legals in many instances so it zeros out.
I keep saying it is astounding we are experiencing job growth when millions of illegals, many with ss# and in the bls numbers, are being removed.
Its why real wage growth keeps growing each month, that does not happen in a soft job market.

Women tend not to stay in the field as long as men so that can be a problem.

DEI hiring is still dominating the workforce, they’re just not bragging as much about doing it anymore.
