My husband reported them to GoFundMe for violating GoFundMe Rules and also sent an email to our local justice of the peace saying the were lying on their GoFundMe page.

That’s what these dolts just can’t seem to comprehend.
You can say virtually anything you want in this country. Nobody is stopping you.
But if you’re employed, like it or not, you’re associated with the place you work. And if they decide that your behavior, on or off the clock, is detrimental to their financial prosperity, they have the right to exercise THEIR freedom of association and shitcan you. Especially in at-will employment situations.
Your rights end where mine begin. And vice versa.
