Well, it turns out men don't like to be insulted and classified as overly masculine, raging sexists and they're dumping the brand. Gillette's social justice moral preening just cost them $8 billion.
"P&G reported a net loss of about $5.24 billion, or $2.12 per share, for the quarter ended June 30, due to an $8 billion non-cash writedown of Gillette. For the same period last year, P&G’s net income was $1.89 billion, or 72 cents per share," Reuters reports.

I dumped them as my shaver and all Procter & Gamble products as well for that matter.
Will never go back either.

They didn't get a cent from me, and I wasn't even mad.

Income?? or profit == seems like "profit:" is the counterpoint to the "loss' in your prior statement.

Gillette going SJW really sucked as I really like their cool wave deodorant. Smells good and makes me feel good.
Oh well, onto old spice.

I reordered my razor blades this week and went with Schick.
I've been using Gillette for as long as I can remember.
Eff 'em!

Just remove all the ones you obviously can.
I switched my razor blades/shaving creme, my laundry detergent, my paper towels, and my dish soap. Those were all the obvious P&G products in my house.
The great thing is all the new products I switched to are just as good and all cheaper too.

I used Gillette razors and deodorant before they told me that they didn’t want me as a customer anymore.
I obliged them. I used their products for years and it took a little while to find suitable and comfortable replacements. Yet now I wouldn’t go back to Gillette for anything. My new company providers are great and happy to take my money without insulting me.
My father was unaware of Gillette’s stance so I informed him on their behalf. He used their Mach razors and Edge gel for decades but has dropped them and walked away for good as well. A lot of my friends and acquaintances followed suit too.
I want to thank Gillette now. They provided a rare motivation for us to change something for the better and in the process feel good for doing so.
