The thing is, her making this argument should get her in very hot water in terms of ethics, because she's admitting she directed a Defendant outside of her courtroom ex parte without permitting opposing counsel to be part of that conversation. So in arguing it was "official duties" she can't claim it was some mistake or non-intentional, which means I can't see how this isn't an admission of unethical behavior.
The other major issue is that if she had immunity, I'd argue it's only state immunity as she's a in a position for the state. These are federal charges, and they aren't bound by state immunity (similar to the reverse scenario where a President can't pardon for state crimes).

Agreed.

I was researching this as we speak. I can't see where she has federal immunity.
She has no arguments really. She broke the law, state & federal it seems, but she has to mount some type of defense.

She might would have a case if she hadn't actually helped the dude try to escape and the people who work directly under her all back it up as fact.

Criminals are all the same. When they get caught they all start crying and making dumbass excuses. How’s it feel to be on the other side of the law you fat bitch!!!!!! Enjoy jail

Remember when judges had to be educated and intelligent? Dems have sure destroyed that idea and practice.

I hope they give her the full sentence to make an example out of her. No leniency whatsoever.

she better hope they give her a deal and not make an example out of her. I hope the reality has set in that she possibly fricked her life up for a criminal that shouldnt have been here in the first place..

Yea, well the DOJ needs to arrest them representatives ASAP and charge them with everything they'd charge me for if I assaulted a federal agent.

They cite last year's U.S. Supreme Court ruling in President Donald Trump's 2020 election interference case that found that former presidents have absolute immunity from prosecution for official acts that fall within their “exclusive sphere of constitutional authority” and are presumptively entitled to immunity for all official acts.
So a county circuit judge is equal to the president of the United States and afforded the same level of immunity for official acts? Is that the argument they are making?

Entitlement leaking down from DEM leaders.

can argue lawyers in general aren’t scum bags if you like but I’ve seen Suits.
Not all are scum bags. Your billboard personal injury attorneys and a good bit of criminal defense attorneys are scum. I know a lot of attorneys that are good guys. Most good ones I know deal with business/corporate law and protect business from frivolous lawsuits and government regulatory bullshite.

What a mindset she has. And this thing makes judgments & rulings.

That weak arse defense will just land her a longer sentence if she tries to fight it. She would be better off doing a plea bargain for first offense and try to get off light with a few months jail and probation along with being disbarred

Too bad she’s not a president or never was and never will be. That dumb cint really trying to use that? She’s fricked!
