Phone has been blowing up all afternoon. Brentwood High is the Brentwoodiest of Brentwood Schools. Think high school in movie Clueless.

Well, there’s a) a number of teachers who want to pass the buck up to somewhere else, b) a number of administrators who don’t want to back up the teacher when it comes to matters concerned in the IEP.

IEP, if reasonably written (all stakeholders have a say-so in how it is written up) and written in clear language, it really ought to be a source of comfort for teachers. But too many teachers are afraid of it because administrators don’t back them up even when they’re in the right when it comes to appropriate response.

One of the guys in the class should have beat his arse. Stuff like this didn’t happen when there was bullying

I lived in Franklin for a season of my life. That's a good description.

A friend of mine who has kids at Brentwood High thinks its true. Supposedly happened in a special ed class, not a general class, so thats that.

Little Johnny has a disability as he is a chronic masturbater? Thus they are forbidden from interrupting his spank session? WTF?

Everything you say here is exactly as it should be and correct. Unfortunately we live in clown world.

I'm not directing this response directly at you but everyone always says stuff like this but in reality, it very rarely happens. After all, events like this kids are happening all the time now and we rarely hear that the parent(s) retaliated in anything other than through legal channels.

If I were a parent of one of those girls, yeah, I would "want to cause trouble." Sickening how the powers that be can just act like filing a complaint against this boy would be a terrible act by the parents.

I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I'm not sure I could type that phrase out.

This is going to be a bloodbath in that community. Think deep red wealthy suburbia with a progressive school board and administration. They've already had one national story this year that caused some resignations.

How much more clearly does it need to be said - get your kids out of the government school system, NOW. There is no possibility of redemption for it and no possible positive, to outweigh the negative, in not doing so.

Don’t take this as excusing the event, but there is a high probability that this was done by a special needs kid.

1. How the frick is an IEP relevant here? Jerking off in class is not IEP material.

2. The school board should be torched for covering this up.

It very simple the parents need to call the police not the school.

Alec Baldwin with an IEP could say that he cocked the hammer but didn’t pull the trigger. The dick just went off on it’s own.
