Who knew Peter North’s kid went to school in Brentwood?

It very simple the parents need to call the police not the school.

And go after the administration covering this up.

I bet he was wearing his mask though.

Does not matter...what's important is did he cross the state line to shoot..if so, I know a very competent prosecutor who will take the case!

What it's done for schools, it's done for society.

and the nearest adult to the student should have acted swiftly to pull him from the room knowing that at the very least he was about to spread bodily fluids everywhere on to unprotected students.

Should have just sprayed him with a hose.

Really bro?
That's just bad parenting. Joe can't be blamed for individual responsibility.

It’s not just “bad parenting.”

It’s shitty educational policy. The kind that metastasizes out from the Department of Education.

I don't know if I could do that if I tried. All joking aside, the administration at my kids school would definitely not like the visit they got from me had thos happened to one of my children. Cops would likely be called.

If you have the means, send your kids to private or home school. Let DOE and school districts try and explain their dire situation away when productive parents and their kids leave in mass. Then we will have the a stronger case for our tax dollars following us once the school metrics plummet.

IEPs have been around a lot longer than Joe Biden has been president. FYI.

Yep. Students on IEPs are tightly protected. Because of federal laws it is really difficult to discipline them or even fail them.

They can be moved to another school (alternative school) and it still be considered the least restrictive environment though

My wife deals with IEPs in the private school setting and when everyone has similar values and a school can simply turn a kid away for the betterment and safety of the school at large they make sense. But, protecting a kid who masturbates on other students? This one kid's right to "normalcy" does not trump the rest of the class. Clown world we are in.

I agree. When I taught public school it was unreal the things IEP students could get away with. Teachers don’t want the hassle of paperwork and districts get concerned about being sued. Tons of those kids fall through the cracks. It’s sad and infuriating

Individual Education Plan

Originally used to say - This child has trouble hearing. Please seat them at the front of the class. or This child is struggling with dyslexia, be patient during assignments that require reading.

Now its used as an excuse for anything. This child has depression. Bad grades make it worse. Give them straight As.

It’s also a way that public school systems draw more money from the state - they won’t provide additional help to a student unless they have an IEP- example- a student is struggling with a math concept- if they don’t have an IEP, the teacher typically won’t spend extra time with the student -
