It seems to me that all police everywhere and with one voice walking off for a few weeks is the only way these nut jobs will regain their sense of perspective with regard to law-enforcement

No, but you will see a Nationwide Police Force created.

I think if somebody like the Columbus cop gets prosecuted, that could do it. The optics of Chauvin made it impossible to support, even if the fentanyl is what got him.

I would love to see a nationwide police strike in blue cities/states that make it impossible for them to do their jobs. I'd love to see them continue working in red areas who actually appreciate them and appreciate how difficult their job is.

The risk of being a police officer has risen dramatically over the last couple of years.

It seems entirely fair that they should be compensated for taking that risk.

I'd be a little surprised to see a strike at the national level, but I've been expecting pockets of "blue flu" to crop up and spread.

I don't think we will see a strike. I do think that we will see a lot of the police force get new jobs or finally take that retirement package.

I think we will see a drastic reductions in folks applying for the Police academy.

When I retired out of the military I bet there were 50 police forces (from across this country) at our leaving the military job fare. I applied, got accepted but then changed my mind.

Looks like I did two smart things that day.

Two edged sword.

On one hand, it would definitely send a message. On the other, it would embolden the current fraudulently installed White House occupant's administration to find a way to put UN troops on US soil, thereby giving the government the "police force" they desire that has no loyalty to our once great constitution.

No.

Police agencies are very independent of each other.

We soon won't see police at all. Who would want such a job in this environment.

Serious question, how is it illegal for them to strike?

It certainly is not a federal question nor covered by federal law.

They'll just do like NYC and avoid doing anything with any risk.

Wish all of us on both sides could agree that police are important but should be trained to be more understanding to the communities they serve.
