Trump was with the Democrats on the big spending December “stimulus”. For the first time our country’s debt exceeds our GDP.

Is this what Trump candidates will support in 2022?

He certainly proved himself willing to jeopardize our future with big spending to garner political power just like all those in the swamp.

If this Nationalist wants to ruin us and has no plan for spending and debt control are conservatives going to support him?

Are you a Trump supporter who considers yourself a conservative? Are you going to abandon conservative principles of small government to continue supporting the nationalist Trump?

Trump supporter’s expected response. They follow Dictator Trump and dont care about any reasonable discussion on actual issues and principles, oh, nor any reasonable discussion with facts and science.

I rarely take such phony bait because, well, it’s phony.

But just to humor such puerile puffery:

Why doesn’t the OP first explain why so-called fiscal conservatives have ‘failed’ for the past 100 years to curtail, much less impede, the growth and over-reach of government, rather than simply participate in the racket?

I suspect we’ll hear some basic Libertarian drivel...

Trump supported a stand alone bill that would put money out there for people to spend and stimulate the economy, I think the cost of what he wanted, was around 800 billion. That package wouldn't have any aid to foreign countries, or a lot of the other shite that politicians use to steal the tax dollars. Of course congress wouldn't pass that. They want a package that is more than twice as expensive and has money for them.

Well Trump gave us the biggest debt in the history of the nation. Much much more than that big liberal Obama.

Oh he didn’t do much for the trade deficit either. Well maybe now it will go down since the dollar has fallen so far and at commodity prices are on fire.

At least McConnell tried to curtail spending.

Look Trump and most of you are nationalist. You aren’t conservative. Whatever Trump says is ok with you.

You are for open borders, foreign aid and unfair trade deals.

Those things aren't conservative.

You establishment people are almost as stupid as Democrats.

Trump was never a fiscal conservative, he is a cultural conservative.
There has never been a fiscally conservative President. That’s a myth. All presidents like to spend.

They literally don’t care. So long as there’s no "theft" aka taxes.

Get me in there and I will cut, cut, cut the FedGov. I will get rid of whole departments, merge some, and greatly reduce their budgets & "workforce" (no one really works in government).

We get lip service from people like Cassidy when they're outside looking in, which is great for their fundraising. I'm already getting emails from the RNC and RSC pandering for money with the usual "conservative" platitudes.
