re: Will the left ever learn to meme? Why can’t they?

Ultimately a funny meme, much like a funny stereotype, must have some degree of underlying truth in order to be effective. A great many aspects of their ideology are rooted in theory and idealism rather than reality.

You know how in old school video games the boss would start flashing red and yellow when you hit a weak spot?
Did you stop hitting that spot?

NPC is barely a week old and he’s calling for the right to create new content

As a former lefty back in college (moved from liberal to "classical liberal"/libertarian when I discovered economics + social justice got really wild), I'm inclined to agree with this. A lot of comedy is being able to relate, and when your whole world is caught up in theories there's nothing to relate to. On top of that, lefties are typically so obsessed with how superior their line of thinking is, they get their kicks just from leftist rhetoric being on an image.

He might mean the base meme, patient 1, if you will. Like NPC, or Pepe. Recreated a million ways, evolving, growing. Because it works.
Think of it like “the aristocrats.”
Same joke, essentially, but the beauty is in the telling of it. And the retelling of it.
The left, long ago, understood this. Before they sold their edge and souls to progressivism

This confirms that brevity is the soul of wit. Goddamn, that's cringy

They have to pat themselves on the back constantly, because outside of their bubble their worldview isn’t confirmed.

I agree with what I think your point is. The right has “NPC” like responses as well. The thing is, NPC was created by the right to make fun of the left. The absolute worst way to counter that is to call us NPCs in turn. It’s frankly hilarious

The problem is that their views on everything are predicated on these ideas that are ridiculously complex that they can't retort with a dagger.
Hell, one kid during Crowder's change my mind episodes said he couldn't explain rape culture because it was too complex and you needed to read 100s of books to understand it despite the fact that he knew it was real.
You can't give sharp, witty jabs when your ideology is based on nonsensical gibberish that requires constant explanations and caveats.
Also, when you're afraid to offend various groups, you typically make shitty jokes. When your mission is to offend the easily offended, it's way easier to land a punch.

Are there any successful SJW comics?

The only left meme that made me laugh

Posted on 10/18/18 at 9:10 am to Placebeaux
See this one is brief, too the point, and has truth as it’s basis. Whoever made this knows how to meme.
Posted on 10/18/18 at 9:16 am to Oilfieldbiology
That’s actually a pretty solid meme.
It’s not that the right isn’t guilty of hypocrisy at times. I think there are just less and less drastic instances, coupled with the left’s sanctimony about themselves.

They are squarely convinced that they're the smartest people in the room. Every interaction is predicated on this.
They know more than you, they know better than you, and if we'd all just listen to their superior intellect, the world would be a better place.
