Will the 2016 election go down as one of the greatest moments in American history?

One of those turning point moments? Wether you view it as positive or negative. Moments like WW2, civil rights, Kennedy assasination, etc.

The fabric of the country and constitution could have been fundamentally and irreversibly changed if Hillary would be picking these justices, not to mention the corruption she would likely inject into the process. The deep state/Clinton machine would be dug in maybe too hard to ever get out.

The magnitude in difference of Trump vs Hillary appointing 2, possibly 3 or 4, Supreme court justices is YUGE.

What a great day to be alive

not even trying to be dramatic or reactionary I honestly think yes, without a doubt we staved off Marxism for at least a generation

It certainly was a historic one given the set of circumstances. If President Trump get to replace 3 justices it will be epic. 4 is just hard to wrap my head around. My liberal friend will not even talk about this now

It will definitely go down as a monumental moment of which direction the country was headed: European/Globalist/Social Justice direction vs. Older Traditional American Valued direction.

That night, America found its identity again. And the ones trying to change that image have lost their crazy minds ever since.

Yep - this was my mantra before the election - 2016 represents a fork in the road and if we take the left fork, all other routes will be closed forever. America would have been irrevocably lost.

Trump's victory preserved a route to get back on the right trajectory and he is performing above all expectations I ever had.

My final years would have been lived in misery had HRC won.

Thank God we have the chance to turn the ship of state back to a decent course. I am stressed that the GOPe are toying with letting this opportunity to slip away.

It’s not only what Trump has and will accomplish, but what we know Hillary would have done.

The difference between those 2 outcomes is so MASSIVE that you can’t just consider what Trump is currently doing.

Usually the difference between R and D isn’t that dramatic. The politicians just keep the status qou. But here you have an outsider vs one of the worst presidential candidates in history.

Not very often you get to see an actual miracle happen, but I truly believe I did that day. Was an incredible feeling.

Academics will write the history, and for the forseeable future those will be leftists. So the written history won’t be as rosy as the reality.

Same thing with the Reagan era.

I don’t mean will it be viewed positively or negatively.

I’m referring to the drastic change in direction. The fork in the road so to speak. Moments that change the direction of the country. A good example is the institution of the welfare state.... huge change in direction that forever alters the path of the country

the 2016 election

Do you want to hear the best part?

The DNC has come up with 10001 excuses for how it happened.

It's been 2 years. They still don't get it. They are losing voters in droves.

I routinely watch YouTube vids of that night and the melts that ensued.

It will be videos that I will enjoy watching and reliving for a long long time

I had this view prior to the election, posted it on here actually. Nothing has changed.

It is disturbing some supposed fiscal conservatives are doing everything they can to stop progress.

It is entertaining to watch some "principled conservatives" on this board twist like a pretzel amending their prior positions, or holding on, notwithstanding hard evidence that they made, and are still making an error in judgment.

My list of great moments to behold as a fan
1) saints winning super bowl
2) Trump defeating Hilary
3) Atlanta blowing 28-3 in super bowl.
