This tells me even insurance companies have concerns over the vaccines. The operate purely for profit. So it only makes sense that they profit more from individuals being unvaccinated rather than vaccinated. Or at the very least it's all a net zero.

then they could itemize every health risk per individual and charge extra for high blood pressure, obesity, family history of various medical issues
I worked for an insurance company in the late 1980's, and when an individual purchased a health plan, the application had a health questionnaire that covered every known medical condition. Coverage for some conditions was excluded, but many were covered for additional costs in the premiums paid. I believe the A*CA did away with this. Of course the best recourse for those with pre-existing conditions back then, was a group plan through employers where there was usually no issue with getting those conditions covered.

So if you are an employer and you pay your employees insurance do you pay higher premiums for the unvaxxed?

Group health insurance rates are based on the overall claims and risk characteristics of the group. There isn’t a different premium rate for each individual. The group might end up paying higher premiums if unvaccinated members end up generating higher claims, but that would be after the fact. So far, at least, the cost of the vaccinations offset the hospitalization costs of the unvaccinated.

The data so far is close to net zero with the costs of the vaccines being about the same as the cost of hospitalizations for the unvaccinated.

They can charge higher premiums for smokers so why couldn't they do it for the unvaxxed?

And then here comes the push for government “healthcare” again...seems awfully coincidental doesn’t it?

I may be one of the oddball conservatives who think they should do that. Health insurance is about risk. People who knowingly add to their risk are more likely to use services and take from the insurance company.

Honestly, it’s a way to push for good health habits without forcing anybody to do something. Or, on the flip side, reward those who are healthier with lower premiums.

As for the vaccine, it should not be one of those things. It’s not applicable for young healthy people. Why penalize them?

At this point they’ll be wanting to charge more for those with jab bc they’re the ones facing expensive health problems.

Let's see, private health insurers should not be told who they have to cover or how to run their business. Price and coverage according to risk.

Something, something, I can't believe my pet leopard ate my face, something, something, this wasn't supposed to happen....

The attack on freedom by this incompetent administration is undeniable.
