I never had any doubts. The universe is just too damn big that this planet being the only inhabited one is just unlikely, IMO.

I don't doubt that the powers that be have tracked some unexplained phenomenon but send me a telegram when anyone actually has credible evidence like aliens landing in the parking lot of the local shopping mall telling the onlookers to: take me to your leader.

The quoted cable is very shaky, in terms of credibility for this claim, but it would not surprise me to find that it is true.

The article mentions "UFO/extraterrestrial phenomenon".
Those are not alien. I see UFOs (things I can't identify flying) and extraterrestrial phenomenon (like the sun and moon) every day.
Albeit I do believe other life forms do exist in other parts of the universe besides the earth.

I agree with that. The question is, does a technology exist that allows living beings to travel great distances in a short amount of time?
