This is some funny crap here:
What this is about is NATO and troops abroad:
Problem sirs.... Problem... Congress is not over the Military.
The U.S. military, or the armed forces, falls under the executive branch of the government, with the President as the Commander-in-Chief, and the Department of Defense responsible for providing military forces.

The Republican chairs of the House and Senate Armed Services committees issued a joint statement Wednesday criticizing the idea of the U.S. drastically changing its military combatant command structure, saying they “will not accept” those changes without coordination with Congress and other agencies.
What this is about is NATO and troops abroad:

Chair Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) and Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) responded to an NBC News article published Tuesday that said the Pentagon is considering giving up its role as NATO’s supreme allied commander Europe (SACEUR) as part of restructuring of commands and headquarters.
quote:
“U.S. combatant commands are the tip of the American warfighting spear. Therefore, we are very concerned about reports that claim [the Defense Department] is considering unilateral changes on major strategic issues, including significant reductions to U.S. forces stationed abroad, absent coordination with the White House and Congress,” the two chairs said.
“We support President Trump’s efforts to ensure our allies and partners increase their contributions to strengthen our alliance structure, and we support continuing America’s leadership abroad. As such, we will not accept significant changes to our warfighting structure that are made without a rigorous interagency process, coordination with combatant commanders and the Joint Staff, and collaboration with Congress. Such moves risk undermining American deterrence around the globe and detracting from our negotiating positions with America’s adversaries,” they continued.

"Muh Constitution" is doing just fine.
Posted on 3/20/25 at 10:28 am to BCreed1
Does anyone bother to read the Constitution anymore?
There is Article 1.
Article 2.
An article 3.
Three different lanes and the intent is that the members of each group stay in those lanes.

I’m so sick of shitty Republicans.

I know it's like they all want to be in total control.
Get back to a constitutional republic at all cost.

When is this Mississippi douche up for reelection?

He will never be unseated. He really don't have to run anymore.
He will be another Mitch

I think everyone in government needs to take a mandatory civics class.

Sounds a lot like a conspiracy for several things such as interference with the Executive in performing constitutional duties, and invoking the commanders is conspiracy to commit mutiny. Taken together this is a coup.
Let's see if Kash and Bondi have any balls. This is not politics, this has crossed over into criminal behavior.

Wicker might be one of the biggest cucks in Washington and I’m ashamed he represents Mississippi
Posted on 3/20/25 at 10:42 am to BCreed1
Well if it went through them nothing would ever get done because those two are useless
Posted on 3/20/25 at 10:48 am to BCreed1
Guess what boy-o? This sort of shite is COMPLETELY within Trump's authority as Commander-in-Chief.

Unfortunately, Wicker is Mississippi’s do nothing version of Cassidy!

I somehow doubt the DOD is doing anything unilaterally. They may be studying it to present to the president, but it seems like a move they would have him sign off on first.

We want to weigh the whole system down.
We want studies that are timely and expensive.
We want status quo which involves leaks as multiple interagency levels.
-Wicker and Rogers.

Imagine that…two RINO neocon, war pigs who never served a day in combat directing others on what is militarily important.
There should be a national law that if you never served in combat arms AND never seen actual combat, you are unqualified to send anyone to war.
That would put an end to a whole bunch of this MIC crap.
