Why should we care about Jamal Khashoggi?

If Kashoggi had been an American citizen, certainly, but if not, we would have likely never even heard about it.
Turkey killed a shite ton of journalists under Obama and we never covered it at length like we have with Kashoggi.

If this would have happened to an American or happened to a foreigner in America then I imagine most of us would expect our government to do something about it. This is not important to us.

Have you ever heard of a sovereign government using its embassy building, located within another nation, as a murder venue? I haven’t. None of my friends in the foreign service have ever heard of this either. This is extreme level stuff.
