Because Russia is actively engaged in a sustained effort to undercut American influence and power. Ignoring them is to cede the contested areas of the world to Russia.

But that’s no problem because they fund Trump’s hotels, right?

So you now agree with Mitt Romney and believe Barrack Hussein Obama was wrong?

I will forever remember lakeboy as the poster who (1) argued with the entire poli board that communism was a far-right ideology and (2) didn't realize that left/right political designations were representative of economics on the political spectrum.

I don't think he's dumb. I think he's probably a smart guy. I just think he knows nothing of politics. Not even the basics. It's sad to watch.

No reason. They’re anti-globalist so what you hear from your MSM about them is likely misconstrued. Anyone that doesn’t abide by the globalist agenda are the enemy in their eyes.

The United States of America was founded as a constitutional republic, not an empire. What has being the world's superpower gotten us? We have been at war almost perpetually since Korea, our currency has been devalued, we have spent ourselves into oblivion on wars and maintaining a bloated military, our government operates the largest domestic surveillance apparatus in world history, our civil liberties are disappearing and our populace has zero understanding about the role and scope of its own government.

We have deviated so far from what this country was supposed to be, all because of a desire of those in power to rule the world, that true debate over returning to a government that minds its own business and takes care of its own is near impossible.

We went to war in the former Yugoslavia in the mid-1990's and in Kosovo in 1999 to assist military separatism and self-determination. Now when the Russians are arming separatist militias in Bosnia who want their own Serbian Republic they're the bad guys. The height of hypocrisy.

Actually, no. We went to war in Bosnia to prevent the Serbs (the same ones you apparently think the Russians should empower again) from "self-determining" the ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims. Russia's only a viable ally for us we if we were to become an oligarchy without democratic institutions, but as long as we're an open society with a free press, free and fair elections, rule of law in which all are subject, Putin sees that as a threat and he'll continue to undermine us, no matter how far we retreat and what concessions we give him.

This thread will be a good expose on how little Trump supporters actually know about the world.

Did I say anything positive about Obama's foreign policy or are you just changing the subject?

So he loved people like Obama in 2012?

How can you guys just ignore the democratic strategy in 2012 election which called for criticizing romney for tough talk on russia?

Obama's famous debate line "1980s called, they want their foreign policy back"...how do you guys excuse that?
