While dickish, they missed an opportunity here.
Monitor the exits and wait for them to start prepping their next offensive then blow the tunnels with the fighters in them.

If they'd really wanted to be dicks about it, they'd have waited until they knew there was a lot of Hamas foot traffic in the tunnel, then collapsed it.

Can you fathom the frustration, the anger, the rage that welled up within the Hamas tunnel architects, seeing their lifes' work just blown to smithereens?
