First, there was no blueprint. It's easy to look back now and second guess everything he did.

Second, it didn't matter what he said, Dems and the national media criticized him. Remember Trump restricting international travel, and Pelosi throwing a fit. She said everyone should go hang out in Chinatown in protest. He mentions HCQ and Ivermectin as possible treatments and the medical community went nuts. He also wanted things to be opened back up by Easter, but got criticized for wanting to open too early.

This brings me to something that is open to more debate. I think he went into campaign mode trying not to lose independents. He decided not to rock the boat and put all his hopes into the vaccine. I don't blame him for the poor quality of the vaccines. He authorized that FDA requirements could be run in parallel instead of sequential. Phase I and II could start at the same time instead of waiting for Phase I to be completed prior to Phase II. The FDA waiting until after the election before approving the vaccine so that he couldn't tout the vaccine as an accomplishment.

I support Trump based on the economy, peace around the world, and general state of the world on 12/31/19. 2020 was out of his control, and things are worse now than they were on 1/20/21. I'm willing to give him the chance to reverse all of Biden's EO, and put his back in.

Trump may not be a conservative on a lot of social issues, but I don't need him to be. I need the federal government to focus on the economy and protection of the country. The states can handle the social items. However, how are the SC justices that he nominated doing as far as social issues are concerned?

First case was late Jan 2020. We didn’t know Dick for the vast majority of that first year. shite on Trump all you want, but let’s not pretend he could have known things no one on earth knew at that time.

ETA. Even DeSantis didn’t roll back lockdowns until late Sept 2020.

Dems were literally on TV begging people to hang out in China town, shitting on the vax, and blasting any and all control measures. Should he have listened to them?

It was a hair over 9 months between the first case and his defeat in November.

What are some of the things his primary opponents (current, potential, or otherwise) were proposing he should have done differently at the time?

January 20, 2020
CDC reports the first laboratory-confirmed case of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus in the U.S. from samples taken on January 18 in Washington state and on the same day activates its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to respond to the emerging outbreak.

None. But the Trump fanboys here won’t admit Trump made mistakes.

How I saw it, Trump was set up from the get-go. Covid was created in a lab and used as a political weapon. Trump did make mistakes, by trusting scarf lady and Fraudci. He was in unfamiliar territory so he had to reply on those two. Scarf lady even fessed up to misleading Trump. I believe Trump did the best he could with what intel he was given on there virus. Another mistake was pushing the jabs and boosters on everyone. That's hard to forgive.

Too dumb to bother with.

The redeeming thing about his vax agenda was he never aimed to mandate, or even limit the unvaccinated. Warp speed was a tactical win.

You said over a year... then by your own timeline pointed out it was less than 10 months.

And DisplacedCuck can't even define Presidential Powers under the Constitution.

Then again, your reading comprehension is just as bad.

And what does Biden do? Cause that’s the alternative.

People love to forget that our choice is of the lesser of two evils and that choice is rather clear.
