I have one question for the decision makers behind that statue:

Aren't you embarrassed?

Why didn’t they just go with a statue of a pack of Newports?

It was a weapon of choice for black students when integration was initiated in Louisiana, at least for the first 3 or 4 years! And belt buckles were an option for both sides.

Maybe a bolt of lightning will strike this Afro pick statue like one did
to the mural of George "BLM Saint" Floyd.

This is very offensive and triggering for me as a white man. It attempts to undermine my white privilege, which is racist and possibly constitutes a hate crime.
As white people are increasingly marginalized, we must unite and unify to battle this aggressive and hateful attempt to erase all white contributions to society.

It is offensive to bald people, like Jada Pinkett Smith.

It's brave and heroic.

Up next will be a 70ft tall bucket of kfc statue. Instead of the colonel's face and the kfc logo, there will be a black power fist. It will be considered courageous. Anyone who criticizes it is a racist.

Because putting a black power fist on stereotypical shite is considered the equivalent of the artwork on the ceiling of sistine chapel .
