Why is that "a simpleton line" when everything BhO does shows utter contempt for the checks-and-balances that the founding fathers put in place to avoid the unconstitutional crap that Obama pulls weekly. I would consider that beyond disdain on his part.

2. That being said, I don't think you have to love checks and balances to love the USA. The OP doesn't want civilian oversight of the Military. i am sure he still loves the US despite a short sited idea that would leave us with little to no protection from martial law.

Weird? How about dangerous? Many of us, including at least one mental healthcare professional, have expressed deep concern about the sanity of this President. This whole Bergdahl - High Risk Taliban prisoner swap is so disturbing and the facts surronding the trade so bizarre, I would argue they call into question the sanity of this President.

He's not in charge of the military. The US is not a Constitutional Republic any more. Think of the Emperor Augustus. In retrospect and in sober reality he was a dictator. But he wasn't so powerful that he could openly say that. So he maintained the outer forms of the Republic.
In the US the Presidents aren't elected. They are selected. But the outer pantomime of an election is maintained. Above them sits the banking system, which is inter-twined with covert operations. And above this sits oligarchical families. Above the oligarchical families the picture is very unclear. It may quite literally be impossible to know, and its not important to know these psychopaths names and addresses. So Obama isn't a commander in chief. He's another servant who knows that its the Kennedy family for him if he refuses to take orders.
