Well that is true. Congratulations for your excellent analysis. But they don't come down to Obama.
Obama will do what he is told or he will be shot like a wooden **** duck on a wooden **** duck rifle range.

There is not much point having a constitutional amendment when the oligarchy that runs the country is not in the least bit interested in following the constitution. Everyone would wear themselves out getting the measure through, and to what avail?

The issue is less static then that. The crime is committed when the debt is created. But then these debt instruments are passed off the books of the people whose creation-of-them benefited them in what amounts to an almost pure act of thieving.
They need to be gotten rid of these debt instruments. To get rid of them requires their means-tested extinction, as well as retiring much of them with new cash, while stopping the bankers from pyramiding on top of the new cash.
However any key figure who goes to put this into action will have a lot of unfortunate things happen to him and his loved ones.

re: Why is the president still in charge of the military?

He's not in charge of the military. The US is not a Constitutional Republic any more. Think of the Emperor Augustus. In retrospect and in sober reality he was a dictator. But he wasn't so powerful that he could openly say that. So he maintained the outer forms of the Republic.
In the US the Presidents aren't elected. They are selected. But the outer pantomime of an election is maintained. Above them sits the banking system, which is inter-twined with covert operations. And above this sits oligarchical families. Above the oligarchical families the picture is very unclear. It may quite literally be impossible to know, and its not important to know these psychopaths names and addresses. So Obama isn't a commander in chief. He's another servant who knows that its the Kennedy family for him if he refuses to take orders.
