The saddest thing about it is that he could have had it all if he'd have just gotten on board. Now his campaign must be absolutely destroyed. And just when he thinks the smoke is cleared in '28, the MAGA-ites will again be waiting.

You just explained why 2028 was not an option.

If Trump loses in 2024 the "MAGA-ites" would believe "his campaign must be absolutely destroyed", too. He's in the same spot (possibly against Trump again)

If Trump wins no Republican has any chance in 2028.

So 2024 or bust

Wow. Showing Trump doing an impression of a person with disability to . . . what? Show that I somehow have an intellectual disability?

I stopped doing that when I was 12 - and actually saw how that really wasn’t very funny in the real world. I spoke out against others doing it when my kid was born with a disability. I then began to actively support those with disabilities by quitting my business, and switching to non-profit, to actively support those with special needs every day of my life.

So go ahead and put up your laughing emojis that make you feel like an important person on a message board - and that you think shows everyone laughing with you, when in actuality, they aren’t in real life.

It will never take away from the fact that you have to live with being a pathetic person . . . and a piece of shite.

So why run now vs 2028?

Because he’s a fool who has been listening to RINOs who have been egging him to run. The RINOs want him to run so he’s damaged and isn’t a factor in 2028. If he was smart, he would have followed the Newsom playbook.

Because he thinks he would make a far more effective President than Trump. I think so too.

at his age could have easily waited until 2028 when he'd be a crystal clear frontrunner.

This is where you are dead wrong. Candidates have their Presidential moments, and then they are over. The odds are that, if he waited, he would not be a favorite in four years.

Trump's probably going to keep running until he's dead.

Trumpers before November of 2022: DeSantis is awesome! I'd totally vote for him!

Trumpers in November when Trump starts spewing nonsense about him: DeSantis is a RINO cuck! I'm never voting for him!

Oh I gotcha. Yeah you don’t need to do that. Not a good fit for the group known for “voting for Trump twice” however somehow he’s not just the worst President ever, but the worst human being ever. Now that’s a big jump.

Try to downplay it all you want but like 25 people did. Someone else will have to look it up though, I don’t have time.

That’s what I see from anti-Trumpers in that kinda situation oftentimes. In this particular case, DJ, I guess I’m a little perplexed at the idea that you don’t even reflexively identify that as intentional hyperbole and exaggeration to more robustly highlight a point. The trademark wordy explanation aside, that is an extremely common human tactic in all sorts of situations. That people are having difficulty making those distinctions is IMO…….mysterious is the word. Actually that same thing is seemingly has permeated other things as well.

Chinese TDS virus wouldn’t surprise me given the current environment. That’s hyperbole too btw.

Ron Desantis is running for VP and that is an unbeatable ticket if he and the Don don't beat each other up too bad!

I don't get all the Trump doubt. What happened around here?

Because the GOPe is colluding with the DOJ to ensure Garland indicts Trump shortly before or after the primaries and has assured Desantis of the nomination. This is the only plausible explanation for Ron believing he has a snowball's chance in..
