Why IS Rispone ghosting on the campaign?

I do understand that his people think he's not that good at spontaneous events and could come off badly if he has to be questioned, like by reporters. However he's still going to have to do at least one more debate.
I can only assume he's looking at internal polls suggesting he's ahead, so he is limiting his public appearances to avoid the risk of anything hurting his campaign. Still- I thought you only did stuff like that if you were comfortably 10 or more points ahead. Can Rispone really be that far ahead of JBE?

He’s counting on tribal drone voters. He could even lose the brainless drones if he has to actually discuss policy.

Suddenly it's become somehow a negative for a man to own his own company and be successful. The leftists are attacking him for that claiming he "built it off the backs of others and mostly due to tax breaks and subsidies." It's shameful when the governor is a career politician and trial attorney who has made his living off the taxpayers, as if that is somehow more noble than the business owner. Rispone may well prove to be an average or poor governor but I'll trust the private business owner to best represent my interests over the failed career politician like Edwards.

I was up there in the countryside yesterday looking at some interests and noticed a lot of Rispone signs all throughout the drive. I'll let you figure out which candidate I saw very few signs supporting........

Progs mad Rispone didn't attend the Press Club event because the Dem propaganda rags lost a chance to hurl gotcha questions at Rispone and toss telegraphed softballs to Edwards.
