Why is MLB treating Atlanta like this

It’s been said ATL stands to lose more than 100 mil due to the all star games moving. Very racist for MLB to do this to the “premier black city of the south”.

Only plausible explanation is that they hate dark people for some reason. Bigly racist!

That may be too harsh.
Perhaps they don't hate them per se, but the effects of their actions on black people are a lot less important than the virtue signaling points and praise they get for actions that may screw over black people practically speaking but greatly improves MLB's street cred with white leftists in the media.
Praise from Keith Olbermann is much more important than taking a few mil out of the pockets of peasant black people who will vote as they are told in exchange for a bottle of water anyway.

TBH I think it’s kinda hilarious because at the end of the day they’re just hurting the very people they claim to be standing up for. If irony were made of strawberries we’d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now.

It’s also very racist to assume that all the voting rule changes adversely affect blacks the most.
We know it’s not the voter ID issue because the majority of US states require it. Why would MLB wait until now?
But the law against providing snacks and water to voters having an adverse impact against the blacks seems a bit racist to suggest. Is MLB making some type of obesity claim - that blacks need snacks more than other ethnicities?

Why? Apparently because in the aftermath of an election where the most liberal elements of Georgia politics were allowed to write ad hoc election laws to combat the frightening virus which kills <.5% of the people it infects, the Georgia legislature decided to actually do their job and make sure their elections were legitimate. This was, of course, racist, since black people are afraid to vote unless they can do so incognito.

If I were Georgia, since the game was cancelled so late in the process, any expenses I already incurred to host the game, I’d sue the MLB for reimbursement.

The MLB and whoever else can punish democrat cities all they like. Burn Portland, Minneapolis and Chicago. I won't lift a finger to stop you.

I dislike this as much as anyone on this board, but do you just abandon the fight for voter equity just because it results in some collateral damage?
This all of course can be reversed if Georgia Republicans just scrap that bill.

Blacks need to understand just how bad it might be if republicans were in charge. Sometimes we have to remind them.

And a major swing County that just built them a new stadium and went almost 100 % Democrat for the first time. It’s was stupid politically.
Just keep repeating..Democrats fought against no excuse early voting and wanted IDs in GA. The Presidents home State didn’t even allow minorities to absentee vote with no excuse or early vote in person.

MLB is very politically correct. That's why every 2 or 3 years is 'Jackie Robinson Season.' They are still surprised that this does not entice black people to buy tickets to games.

The people who voted for them are getting ducked in the arse. People with high paying jobs don’t vote for those scumbags. At least the ones I know don’t

Somebody remind me why we need MLB, NFL and the NBA?
I haven't watched the NBA since Jordan, the NFL since the Rams fricked STL and I not paying much attention to MLB and I was/am a Cardinal fan.
I am getting more time on my quad, tractor and 442 so it's looking like a win. frick 'em all.

It’ll be in Texas or Florida.

frick the MLB and Atlanta. Baseball sucks anyway. I have never watched an entire pro game.

Some sports are more fun to play than to watch. I was a baseball player but after college I never watched a lot of it on TV.
I know people who were heavily into playing soccer in HS. As adults they never watch it on TV.

Soys don’t follow nor go to sporting events. I challenge you to ask any soy you meet what they think of MLB leaving Hotlanta then ask them what “hit for a cycle” means.
