MS has 1 bigger city t

Jackson's population is only like 150k

Gulport is 72k

Lake Charles' population is 81k

Gulport's MSA is like 246k and LC's is like 225

Nobody thinks of LC as a big city in LA and it is almost #2 in MS

I was just going to post this. LA and MS are about the same. Its just JBE was a good ol baw and got votes from a lot of republicans in St. Tammany and Tangi

ETA: Also most of LA’s libs are in the south near desirable locations to live. BR, Nola, Laffy. All of Mississippi’s heavy democrat areas are Jackson or the delta.

The entire southern part of Mississippi is Red

Look at the major cities, compared to population. It’s all there, but somehow the dumb southerners, white or black are the problem? The Yankees like to talk shite but the same people wouldn’t know how to act south of I-10.

Both of our US Senators are republican, 4/5 congress people are republican, our state house and senate are republican by a >2:1 advantage, we had a trigger law banning abortion, we are "right to work," and we give public school money away to private institutions just like MS.

What exactly makes us "liberal?"

Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas have more cities than Louisiana and they are also more conservative.

Central North and the Florida parishes in Louisiana are all just like the states mentioned.

Trump won a good bit more of the vote in LA than TX in 2020. TX was like 52%

TX is much closer to being a purple state than people wish to admit. LA will elect Democrats at the state level because we have bad Republican candidates usually.

Louisiana is a welfare state that relies on federal handouts, extorting businesses, and tax extortion of productive citizens to support poor dumb people that make poor life decisions in both urban areas and country trailer parks. All of its conservative window dressing hides what it really is.
