Why is Chelsea Clinton’s opinion on immigrant children important?

Local news has her on their half hour loop commenting on the family separation controversy. Is she an expert on immigration, or any social science related to this topic? If not, why is her opinion any more valid than mine?
The answer, of course, is that the leftist propaganda outlets want to keep her in the public eye so it’s easier for them to boost her into high office later.
