Seems to me they have done that, but Trump's every shifting public statements have injected confusion on what he actually wants and prompted McConnell to not even bring anything to the floor without clarifying where Trump stands.

Keep in mind, Flake was promised an immigration vote this month in exchange for his tax reform vote. Ryan also promised a DACA fix in one of his CNN Town Halls back over the summer.

Dems don't have to do anything about the Wall, it's a terrible idea. I don't think welll see one.

What they need to do is stop making mountains of molehills on social issues, stop preaching to people and try to influence the undecideds who don't give a rats arse about these issues.

I'd be cool with that deal, including the wall. It's an egregious waste of money and the real differences could be made simply by better policy, but frick it, whatever!
