The irony of all the alarmists' doomsday alarmism is that death and property destruction from climate related events are SIGNIFICANTLY down since the federal government starting tracking things like forest fires, floods, droughts, hurricanes and other climate related natural disasters...DESPITE CO2 concentrations increasing.

Man made is the issue.
Climates change. No question. It’s not man’s fault

Well, we did have rivers catching on fire and shite back then that may have had a bit to do with it...

How is it any different than a religion for most people?
They have indoctrinated the children into their line of thinking. So, I would call it a cult more than a religion...

For the sake of this discussion let’s imagine the science is correct. What percentage of the public actually understands the science they believe in?

You could pose these questions on a multitude of commonly accepted scientific laws/beliefs/truisms or really anything...who has the time to really immerse themselves in everything scientific to the point of having a real understanding of the scientific concept...you have to outsource some knowledge.

Religion is based on a 2k year old book. Cc is based on current science.

Because it gets a lot of retweets when you tweet about it.

Sounds alot like faith to me

The left took traditional religion out of the schools and installed its own new religion. Then, the media reinforces what is being taught in public schools.

FIFY. When it's driven by money and politics, it's really not science either.

Children and schools.
Children at schools have been systematically indoctrinated by the left to accept the faulty data and lies of climate change. Thus making everyone who doesn't believe an evil racist.

I mentioned this the other day . . .
I think it’s as Victor Davis Hanson said (I think it was him, I’ve got to google. This is just cautionary proviso bc I didn't make it up).
It’s vanity. All these movie stars and wealthy people who are trendsetters are worried about it so that they can look concerned about a problem, that can neither be accurately identified or fixed. So they can wring their hands and look altruistic. These people are cultural influencers, and it trickles down bc it’s easier to do that than to find a
Way to fix real Environmental problems -
Like hypodermic needles everywhere or homeless people.
It’s a luxury item to care about that shite. It’s the Mercedes Benz of this century.

Sure. But even the "knowledge" I outsource as a hobby, just interested or professionally I want and need to understand it. It has to make sense and jive with common experience, observation and laws of nature before I accept it.

It is. However the magnitude and causation of cc by the IPCC and the MSM and other climate propaganda groups are completely wrong.
Posted on 9/20/19 at 11:22 am to weagle99
They have no common sense and just believe what they are told.
Posted on 9/20/19 at 11:26 am to weagle99
Because most people look to others to decide what they believe. And evil controls the media. Sooooo....
