You understand that inflation also decelerated from January to May of 2008 with high consumer spending rates, right? (Before spiking in June) And the economic collapse was on everyone’s mind around the turn of winter ‘07.

You understand that inflation decelerated in 2008 despite interest rate cuts.
This is not the same as 2008 because interest rates are increasing, not decreasing and that's been the trend so far.
The two scenarios are not the same. You'd expect inflation to decelerate as interest rates go up, not as they go down which is why 2008 was different.

Maybe, but net borrowing was still down in ‘08, same as it is now. So the artificially low rates of ‘08 are still a non-factor, Krugmanite.

My favorite Mexican restaurant had to raise prices 33% in one week due to supply costs.
Diesel supply on the east coast is running short.
Railroads are having difficulties moving critical supplies such as fertilizer.
Grocers are having difficulties with stock.
No one wants to work at dead end shitty jobs any more.
College enrollment is down.
New home sales have dropped almost 20%.
This summer and fall will be interesting . I see civil disturbances popping up in unexpected places.
