Because the House had their chance. This is not the part of the process where this is done. The Senate is there to address the 2 Articles of Impeachment submitted by the House, not investigate.

Why didn't the House call their witnesses before they impeached? It was the House's job to investigate before they impeached.

The house could have called for any witness they wanted when they had control.
They didn’t and now they want a do over.

Because the entire thing is a politically motivated attack. And impeachment should not be used that way. and even if every charge against Trump is true it doesn’t justify impeachment.
