Why does US military have troops in Jordan?

So tired of wasting life and money just to keep US service members in a country we have no business being in. We're not at war in the middle east, we shouldn't be at war in the middle east, there's no reason to maintain bases with minimal protection over there for terrorists to use as target practice.
I'm just realizing that they probably keep service members in nearly hostile countries specifically for terrorists to use as target practice so Congress can beat the war drum whenever they care to.

Perhaps being there keeps us from being at war in the Middle East. The US has interests all over the globe and Britain did a fairly shitty job when drawing the borders.

And almost guaranteed the US has more interest than they do in the Middle East. And I have no idea why we're in Jordan but I doubt there's some deep state conspiracy full of globalist shadow men behind it either though

Cause we want to continue to have friendly monarchies in that region and not fundamentalists who harbor terrorists etc.

Some of the sites are used as cover to put in intel stuff, to monitor things in the area. Most are there so that situations like we have now can develop. They become easy targets and the CIA, DoD, Trump, Biden, and others all know this. Our security interests are not being supported, they're being exploited.

However bad you think our government is in the U.S., they are 10x worse overseas. They operate with impunity.
And the State Dept has a lot of lapdogs in the media, that are happy to tell us whatever the State Dept wants us to know.

There are 2.1 million Palestinians living in Jordan. How many terrorists do you think are there? We have a friendly relationship with Jordan so their GID will do our bidding to keep Israelis safe, but that doesn't sound as sexy as "defending democracy" or whatever other absurd justifications internationalists give as to why are tax dollars are looted.

The British created Jordan for the Hashemites. And they were Jordan’s sponsor for a very long time. We took over that role as the British faded. The king was educated here in the US and the UK, and finished at Sandhurst.

Think a little larger.
There are NO good guys. That is our objective reality. Russia is doing what a country will do as their borders shrink over so many decades. They are tried of NATO shrinking said borders. Imagine Russia and China started by cutting the southern parts of Texas. That's what Ukraine was to them. (And of course this isn't limited ti just Ukraine.)
Any country, at a certain point, is gonna go on the offensive, naturally.
But to believe American government are altruistic is plain silly. It is a game of thrones, and you're a pawn. We all are.
