On reddit, what you can see is determined by the ratio of upvotes to downvotes. Reddit employs bots to upvote/downvote based on whatever political agenda they want to push. The bots automatically downvote any opinions the algorithm doesn’t like so those posts don’t get seen. In addition, reddit also stops you from being able to post as often if you have too many downvotes, thus posters who go against group think literally cannot post as often, and their posts get quickly buried. Finally, the mods actively ban based on partisan politics.

Because TD is the last little sliver of independent thought, and all the rest are pretenders

This is the last Internet 1.0-style site I even go to. There are very, very few left, and most of the survivors are dominated by lefty mods.

The tech giants have everyone cornered into their own domain. Independent websites are being gradually DDoS'd or sabotaged out of existence.

You sound like you're looking for balanced, reasoned discussion.

You won't find that on Reddit.

I was permanently banned from there for speaking conservative notions. It’s obvious why it sucks so bad.

Reddit is fake.

Like Twitter.

Not as many bots but still taken over by troll farms. Live people but they add nothing and are there just to create discord.

Reddit is not real life
Twitter is not real life
Facebook is not real life

Because they eventually ban anyone who does not fit in.

Its the progressive mantra. If they cant beat the argument, ban those arguing.

the most theologically conservative place on Reddit even it is generally anti-Trump

Why do you think theologically conservative should equate to pro-Trump?

Reddit is great for finding reviews of purchases and experiences, and sometimes memes, but outside of that it’s not good for much else. I didn’t realize just how ridiculously liberal the entire site is until I stopped checking it daily. I wasn’t even subbed to any liberal groups, I would just browse the front page for daily news and info. But I found myself deeply questioning a lot of the conservative values I have, and even doubting some of my faith because everyone on there is so liberal and negative. It’s a cesspool and huge echo chamber, and just extremely negative in general.

I got booted from the r/nursing sub for being "anti-vaxx". Back in 2020 I said the vaccine wasn't the answer and it wasn't really a vaccine, got booted and can't even appeal it lol

I would say Texags is more establishment than here

Texags is a good board, but there is a bit too much overt corporate sponsorship going on over there. To keep the gravy train rolling, they have to be more aggressive in curating certain speech.
