Why does our government so willingly help out other countries?

I was thinking about this the other day. Why is our government so quick to help out other countries in the name of “advancing freedom” for them, but yet are so hellbent and determined to strip all of OUR freedoms away? Why is our government so concerned about citizens of other countries but when it comes to improving the lives of Americans they are basically “meh, it’s not that bad, so what if you are struggling with inflation that we caused”. Our government is quick to give military weapons to Ukraine citizens but constantly trying to strip YOU of your AR. We sell fuel to other countries but import it for our citizens and then tax it to death and we pay out the arse for it. Anyone else ever thought about this?

Bribes, and money laundering.

Think of how much they could help their own citizens if we didn’t waste the money on other countries.

Because 95% is coming back to them.

I think at this point it's just easier for politicians to go with the flow and continue giving, rather than being a meany and saying NO. Lazily voting "yea" is easier than taking a stand and defending your decision.

If you're cynical bribes, if you're even more cynical it's so they don't terrorize us.
If you're naive, you think it's to actually help.

Because the dollar is the worlds global reserve currency. This allows our government to print money with no regard for debt. The second we are not the worlds reserve currency we’re done.

Launder that money through them to get it back in other forms.
Way easier to do that internationally than domestically.
It's not about those countries or the people, it is about getting that money back in their hands.

They launder money back to themselves. That's why both Rs and Ds wanted Trump impeached for calling them out.

I was always baffled by this too, until I saw the Hunter Biden job/pay for “serving on the board” of the gas company in Ukraine. Viola! Hunter and three other Senators’ kids got big money for nothing! Some of it was my tax money, and I deeply resent it. That’s why they give our money away.

We don’t really help out other countries.

Because they get bigger kick backs when they spend our taxes overseas. Plus they dont want to fix our problems. They want us to suffer and bow down to them .

The issue is, these countries dont need the money anyway. Here in the Caribbean, the projects you spend money on just allows the politicians to thief all the tax collected locally because the US is stupid enough to build us water plants, roads, sewage, ports etc.
And the US gives a billion for a 50 million kickback. Thats the most annoying part, heck just steal the 50 million, dont make me pay for 100s of billions in "projects" so you can steal a few billion.
And dont get me started on the MIC.

Kickbacks. That's the answer you're looking for.
