Considering the number of people from that film who got cancer, likely to filming downwind from a nuclear test site, I wouldn’t say the film did him any favors on a number of fronts.

Yep, a lot of the cast and crew came down with cancer after that film was made, and the location was one of the chief areas of blame for it happening.
