I don't. Sad to see this.
I disagree with him on a lot of things (especially his warmongering tendencies) but I respect him.

Because he seems to do everything he can to screw his voters and Trump . The man should give up his senate seat and go die in peace .

His willingness to put aside partisanship when in the country’s best interest, coupled with not cowering down to Trump doesn’t sit well with this group

How many Dems are now calling McCain a great man but 10 years ago called him a baby killer, a dumbass for finishing in the bottom of his Navy class, a showboater who caused the Forrestal Fire, and a gold digger for leaving his 1st Wife while she was in a wheelchair? All of them.

I don’t hate him, but I do hate that he thinks only he knows what’s in the county’s best interest. It’s arguable that collectively we even have a best interest. This country is so varied, in so many ways that unity such as that isn’t possible.

I don’t hate him. I think he had many good qualities. I also think he indulged his celebrity side too often and could be very spiteful. Read his book. He is actually very fair with his flaws.

John McCain was captured. I like people who didnt get captured. POW’s are loser scum!

He blocked the repeal of Obamacare. Frick that selfish little man. I’m sorry he’s in the final stages of brain cancer but, I don’t have any obligation to say what a great American he was.
ETA: Because he blocked Obamacare, now, the next administration will be able to turn it right back on and it will be another entitlement that will NEVER go away.
Thanks, a-hole.

Sometimes it is a case of who one hates the less.

Because he sold his American brothers down the river by singing like a songbird to the Vietcong
then he sold his American citizens down the river to the deep state for the next 50 some odd years
#GoCancerGo!

You really consider yourself a patriot with that attitude?
I tell you what, you fly a A7 over the most heavily defended city in the world and see how it works out. At least he was brave enough to go.
Our POW's were starved and beaten every day whIle in captavity. They suffered for us to help stop the spread of communism.

This is such bull shite. McCain cares about one thing: keeping the United States at war perpetually. And because both sides in this country are addicted to pre-emptive war and regime change, McCain can play the bipartisan card as an honor, when in fact it's further evidence of his utter psychopathy.

I meant to type “when he thinks it’s in the country’s best interest”. I didn’t mean to imply that he had a lock on that.

Don’t forget Keating Five. He was “the most rephrehensible of them all.”

Not as much as those guys on the Forrestal hated him

Hate is too strong a word. As a cancer survivor, I don’t personally wish him any ill will.
I don’t like his “ maverick” politics and question some of his decisions and motives. He voted conservative on some things, but I would not classify his record as being that of a true conservative.
He has character issues that people seem willing to forgive in the face of his maverick and bi partisan “image”. Here are just a few things that I don’t like about his politics:
* Worked with the leftist IRS to target Tea Party groups
* Liberal voting record during the Obama presidency. Might as well had a (D) behind his name. His own states party censured him for his “liberal voting record”
* Steele dossier
* Campaigned on repeal of Obamacare, but voted “thumbs down” on Republican effort to repeal Obamacare
There are so many, many more. At his age and advanced terminal medical condition, the deep state guy that McCain is should have resigned his position.

Exactly. I dont get it. He is a shitty politician. Who cares? He's a human being who is dying. Let it go people.

Attempts to politically 'canonize' McCain should be met with disgust. McCain enabled the corrupt/criminal Obama Administration with His *bi-partisan*/respect for comity BS and let this Nation slide toward the kind of division which we now endure. There is an old saying..."if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem". He is the problem. As are all who slam one Side (Conservative/Constitutional), while giving the Other a pass.
McCain blew it, IMO. God rest His soul. Let Jesus and John deal with it.
