The 'phobic' tag was carefully chosen because it means fear, and fear is traditionally a sign of weakness.

I know Bill Maher has his blind spots, but even he criticized this term. Explained that he finds gay sex a big turn-off, but that does not translate into "hating" others.

It's the same reason they don't want to acknowledge that homos and trannies are doing these things BY CHOICE and are not born that way.
They want to pretend any opposition to these things means you fear them or you fear you will become them.

It is bullshite to imply that hetero-folk "fear" them. But even if it IS a choice, why should we care? Me care not what consenting adults choose to poke.

Well, they're punching well above their weight class as school shooters/spree shooters. Considering that they're somewhere around 1% of the population I'm pretty sure they're closing on young black males as the per capita murder champions.
ETA: I didn't consider Alabama men's basketball players. They've gotta be pretty high on the list.
